it's elementary....

y-b/(all over)m =x

first multiply by m to get:

y-b=mx

then add b to both sides to get:

y = mx + b

the problem you are asking about is:

pie= c over d and we have to get D by its self!

first, multiply both sides by d so that you get:

pie (d) = c

then divide both sides by pie to get:

d = c over pie
